Two Philly-born favorites—Oyster House and Federal Donuts & Chicken—have officially opened at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), giving travelers a delicious new reason to get to the terminal early. Both are part of MarketPlace PHL’s “Founded in Philly” initiative, which spotlights homegrown businesses that define the city’s flavor and culture.

Located in the B/C connector, the new Oyster House outpost offers airport diners classic Northeast seafood like raw oysters, lobster rolls, and creamy clam chowder—all straight from the beloved Center City staple, run by third-generation owner Sam Mink. Right next door, Federal Donuts & Chicken, co-founded by James Beard Award-winning chef Michael Solomonov, serves up its signature crispy chicken, rotating donuts, and strong coffee—marking its 12th location.
With major global events like the FIFA World Cup and America’s 250th anniversary on the horizon, PHL is embracing its role as a gateway to the city’s rich culinary identity. “It’s not just about serving great food; it’s about creating that Philly experience for travelers the moment they walk through the terminal,” said Dana Krawchuk of MarketPlace PHL.
