LL COOL J & Jazmine Sullivan to Headline July 4 in Philly

The 2025 Wawa Welcome America Festival is back and bigger than ever, bringing 16 days of free programming to Philadelphia from June 19 through July 4, culminating in a massive July 4th concert and fireworks show on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

This year’s headliners include hip-hop icon LL COOL J, performing with DJ Z-Trip, and GRAMMY® Award-winning R&B singer Jazmine Sullivan, a Philadelphia native. Their free July 4th concert begins at 7 PM and will be followed by Philly’s largest fireworks show at 9:30 PM. The event, produced in partnership with Live Nation, will be broadcast live on NBC10 and streaming platforms. Gates open at 5 PM, with front-section access available through ticket giveaways.

Festival highlights include:

 • Juneteenth Block Party (June 19) featuring DJ Drama at the African American Museum.

 • Kidchella (June 20) at Smith Playground with kid-friendly acts and fireworks.

 • Avenue of the Arts Block Party (June 21) with live music, food, and fashion shows.

 • For the Fans Block Party (June 22) near Citizens Bank Park and Lincoln Financial Field.

 • Cherashore Pool Party (June 24), Vet Fest (June 25), and Wawa Hoagie Day® (June 26).

 • Hispanic Fiesta at LOVE Park (June 28), headlined by Ivy Queen.

 • Gospel on Independence (June 27) with Marvin Sapp.

 • Celebration of Black Music Month (June 29) at the Dell with Kindred the Family Soul, Freeway, and more.

 • Pops on Independence (July 3) featuring Ben Folds.

 • Salute to Independence Parade and Celebration of Freedom Ceremony on July 4.

The sleek, modern space will offer a menu built around eye-catching, nutritious creations. Signature toasts include the PB Crunch with house-made honey roasted peanut butter and fruit on walnut raisin toast, and the Smoked Salmon Toast layered with herbed cream cheese, cucumber, arugula, capers, and microgreens. Savory options like the Tuscan Tuna Toast bring Mediterranean flair, while a lineup of smoothie bowls, such as the Matcha Bowl, delivers superfood blends topped with fresh fruits and seeds. Guests will also find a wide selection of smoothies, cold-pressed juices, and specialty coffees. Highlights include the Green Machine Smoothie packed with greens and tropical fruit, as well as the popular Radiance Juice, made with citrus and basil. Nitro cold brew and collagen lattes round out a beverage program designed to energize and nourish.
